Adidas X 18 Purespeed Yellow FG

The Upper:

• Adidas rolled out a completely new speed boot in hopes of replacing the F50 line that was discontinued a few years back
• The upper used a new synthetic material called the SpeedMesh
• Overall the SpeedMesh was pretty lightweight and flexible, something Adidas had been lacking for a few years
• The X18 also featured a dynamic "claw" like collar for a locked in secure fit

The Sole Plate:

• Adidas used the SprintFrame sole plate, similar to the Adizero sole plate
• A few updates were made, including rounded studs towards the back for added traction

Notes and Comments:

• The X18 was the closest boot to an Adizero Adidas produced since they discontinued the line
• The major difference to this model was a fully slip on design, not using any laces
